Cali Martin
Cali Martin is a museum professional with over 15 years experience cooperatively managing and promoting ethical stewardship and care of Indigenous community belongings and artworks. Creative collaboration and community engagement are foundational components of this work. Originally from Oklahoma and Arkansas, she is an enrolled member of the Osage Nation of Oklahoma, and of Kaw and German descent. She holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of West Florida in Anthropology and a Masters in Museum Studies from the University of Oklahoma.
Dance, movement, and community have been a core part of Cali’s life since an early age. As a dancer, choreographer, and instructor, her life centered around sharing that experience with others through performance and in the studio. After discovering Local Motion Project in 2022, she instantly embraced the vibrant connection to community, movement, and joy. She is thrilled to support LMP’s mission to make movement a transformative experience, to bring that experience to a broad spectrum of movers, and to universally inspire the well-being that dance and movement bring to life.
