Extension Ideas
- In pairs, have students take turns being leaders and followers. Encourage slow, smooth movements. Start with non-locomotor (in one place) actions and build toward locomotor (traveling) actions.
- Space students evenly around the room. Start with one student leading while the other students follow. Call out another student’s name to switch leaders. Continue through several leaders. Challenge the the class to continue moving seamlessly without stopping between leaders.
