Description: Students recognize emotions in other people and use as stimuli for improvisation.
Extension Ideas
- Emotions Word Wall: Have students add photos, drawings that represent the different emotions, and/or use a word wall to collect synonyms for happy, sad, mad, etc. Periodically, revisit the word wall and lead a guided improvisation as modeled in the video.
- Choose a variety of music and ask students what emotions the music makes them feel. Guide an improvisation by changing the music. Students change their movements based on the music and emotions.
